2025 Rosé

Sunlight spills a little longer each day, the vineyard bees are back on their rounds, and the vines are beginning to hum with the arrival of the growing season: Rosé season has arrived!

A pale salmon pink in colour, the wine opens with aromas of pink grapefruit, strawberry compote, raspberry tea, orange marmalade, and a whisper of pink rose. The palate is sugar-dry yet carries a subtle fruit sweetness, with pink grapefruit flavours continuing from the nose, joined by watermelon candy, white raspberry, and tart plum. Bright acidity keeps the wine high and tight, while an intriguing red liquorice note lingers on the finish. Ever so moreish.

WINEMAKER'S NOTE

Fruit for our 100% Pinot Noir Rosé was harvested between August 28th and September 13th and upon arrival at the crush pad was gently whole bunch pressed. The free-run juice was fermented in stainless steel for a clean, bright expression, while the harder pressings were fermented in neutral barrels and aged on their fermentation lees for 2 months. Both tank and barrel components spent time on the lees, adding texture and subtle complexity to the finished wine.
