2025 Riesling

Riesling has a way of captivating us with its clarity and precision. Yet that purity in the glass is never accidental. It comes from attentive farming in the vineyard and careful restraint in the cellar, allowing the variety’s natural character to emerge without distraction.

Our flagship Riesling reflects the dedication of our team and an enduring commitment to balance, precision, and the quiet power of this noble grape.

A pale yellow in the glass, the wine opens with vibrant aromas of lemon and lime zest, yellow peach, orange blossom, grapefruit oil, and mandarin. Subtle notes of wet stone and spruce tip add intrigue to the aromatic layers. The palate is tense and juicy, showing mandarin and white grapefruit alongside candied lime peel, pineapple, and a crunchy green apple note through the mid-palate. Bright acidity carries through to a long finish marked by the chalky, dry minerality we continually seek in our flagship Riesling.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Our Riesling was harvested between September 26 and October 6 from clones 21B (75%) and 49 (25%) - sourced from our estate plantings dating back to 2005, and a neighbouring East Kelowna Slopes site, just a short drive down the road from our home acreage. The grapes were gently whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel to preserve the variety’s natural brightness and aromatic precision. Fermentation and élevage occurred with the wine resting on its lees for 3.5 months, adding subtle texture while maintaining the vibrant acidity and tension that define this wine.
